Hereford’s newest independent restaurant, lounge bar and roof-top terrace!
The Courtyard in Hereford has been apart of the community for many years now, serving up events and being the number one destination for many who are passionate about the theatre and the performance arts. They provide a space for innovation, creativity, and participation for the whole community and is home to:

The building was designed to be inspirational and contemporary. It aimed to lead the way for future architectural developments in the historic City of Hereford. It forms two separate spaces internally and is enveloped in a large, glass outer shell creating a light and airy atmosphere within.
The Chase Lounge
Very exciting news in the form of The Courtyard’s mezzanine restaurant, and that it has been extended and transformed in to a stylish new dining space.
This entire project has been supported by Chase Distillery, who have invested in the development and driven the design. But more on Chase Distillery later!
Serving up a mixture of innovative small plates and traditional British dishes, The Courtyard Chase Lounge offers a tasty culinary experience. The team are passionate about sourcing Herefordshire food, and making sure that their dishes are seasonal with a mission to serve sophisticated, nutritious dishes combined with excellent service. We think that’s mission accomplished!
The restaurant boasts classic elegance with a trendy twist. The lounge bar is a classy yet comfortable space to relax with friends and cocktails, fine wines and local Chase gin. The perfect place to crack open your laptop and sift through a few emails or sink into a classic page turner.
Not to mention their newly built rooftop terrace that offers a fabulous view, saucy al fresco dining and a comfortable lounge area. The terrace is the perfect place to spend an evening during the summer eyeing up the setting sun. The good vibes are real.
The Courtyard Café Bar is a vibrant and chilled area serving healthy meals and light bites throughout the day.

Chase Distillery
Champions of the local community of Herefordshire, the team at Chase supports a number of independent businesses, most recent being The Courtyard in Hereford City.
Chase Distillery are a British field to bottle distillery, handcrafting an award-winning range of gins and vodkas from potatoes grown on their farm in Herefordshire.
They host epic spirit tastings where you can learn all about the process that goes into every single bottle of Chase, and then round back at their bar with your friends to sample these exciting and flavoursome spirits while looking over their farm. Stock up from their extensive range of products and leave with a smile on your face and a bottle under your arm! Make sure to book taxi or allocate a designated driver!
