Chester House Hotel

Chester House Hotel is situated in the heart of Bourton on the Water, the Chester House Hotel is a 22 bedroom privately run hotel. With the river Windrush running through the centre of the village and it’s honey coloured stone bridges throughout, Bourton has earned it’s nickname, the ‘little Venice of the Cotswolds’.

The hotel has a contemporary country style, Chester House offers a unique mix of relaxed surroundings with exceptional service. It is centrally located, so you really can do as little or as much as you like, within our beautiful village or the fabulous surrounding Cotswolds.

The Garden Room
The Garden Room is open to guests from 8am until 10am for delicious breakfasts. Enjoy a Traditional English breakfast cooked fresh to order, with cereals, fruits salad, yoghurt and pastries available on our refreshing buffet table.

Chester House Bar and Lounge
The Chester House bar and lounge are open from 9am for morning coffee and cakes. Our bar is open for a great selection of local drinks until 11pm every day.

L’anatra Italian Kitchen
We have an Italian kitchen cooking authentic Italian food from midday until 9pm everyday. It is the ideal place for delicious stone baked pizzas, pasta, steak, or fish. All our food is made from quality fresh ingredients, and seasonal specials are available throughout the year.

The perfect place to celebrate an occasion, or simply eat with family and friends with a friendly, warm atmosphere and great service.

Chester House Hotel is a Victorian building, constructed of honey coloured Cotswold stone beneath pitched roofs. We have 22 en-suite bedrooms decorated in a contemporary country style. The hotel has 2 floors with no lift. We have a ground floor room suitable for wheelchair and disabled access, and a roll in shower.

Well behaved dogs are welcomed into our ground floor coach house rooms only, this must be arranged via reception and cannot be booked online. We can arrange flowers, chocolates and champagne to be put into rooms as a treat on your arrival, and any other reasonable requests undertaken! We don’t have a 24 hour night porter.

Large Bookings – We can accommodate up to 45 guests, perfectly suited for celebrations, birthdays, walking and cycling groups.
