The Hotel has been created within an elegant Regency building, which was once owned and loved by the Duke of Wellington. Many of the original features have been maintained with high Georgian ceilings, ornate coving and big sash windows.
We offer free on site car parking and free unlimited WiFi broadband access to guest bedrooms and public areas. The hotel is a grade 2 listed building and this does not allow for a lift but we are happy to assist with your luggage.

Situated within Clarence Court Hotel, Joules Restaurant benefits from the original features of this character property but brought up-to-date with stylish, contemporary touches. With a separate bar area where diners can relax to enjoy a drink before or after their meal as well as a lounge with comfortable armchairs where you could indulge in a Joules special signature cappuccino, the décor is a contrast of simple, fresh colours and modern artwork and lighting, combined with vibrant red, striped and patterned silk upholstery, creating a sumptuous yet relaxed feel.
Serving Italian influenced cuisine, the restaurant’s signature dish is the stone-baked pizza but there is also a range of risotto and pasta dishes, as well as fresh fish dishes, freshly minced steak burgers, slow cooked BBQ ribs and 28 day aged locally reared steaks.
