Forest Bakehouse

The Forest Bakehouse was started in 2013 by an initial group of people that were passionate about bringing real, nutritious bread to the local community. After much hard work and commitment, in 2016 The Forest Bakehouse was named Best Producer in the Taste of Gloucestershire Award and today is a busy, thriving business. Our team and cafe keep expanding to serve our increasing number of loyal customers and we’re incredibly proud to be an important community hub.

The award-winning Forest Bakehouse is a cooperative bakery and and cafe based in the village of Longhope, on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Our focus is on creating highly nutritious real bread of the finest quality using locally milled organic flour. We are passionate about the benefits of working at a local level and being accessible to the community, who have from the beginning played a large part in the bakery’s success. Whether you’re a local or a visitor to the area, you can be sure of a warm welcome at the Bakehouse.
