Forest Oak Farm

Forest Oak Farm, near Lydney in Gloucestershire, is a family run estate specialising in holiday, training and event hire. Opened in 2012 and set out over twenty acres of fields, lakes and woodland with many mature trees; the Farm is a spacious, welcoming haven for dog friendly holidays and events as well as a family home and wedding venue.

We pride ourselves on having created a very special, welcoming and unique setting that allows us to tailor our services and facilities to fit your individual requirements.

Forest Oak Farm is a family venture run by the Dodson’s. Having been involved in the dog training and sports world for many many years we know just how hard it is to find truly dog friendly, high quality venues and accommodation – be it for a holiday, training, competing or for holding events.

Forest Oak Farm stretches over 20 acres of what was, for many years, disused and badly neglected farmland. The moment we set foot over the threshold we knew it had something very special to offer – something we had to nurture and share.

Since acquiring the farm in 2010 we have been through an intense and exciting, roller coaster journey to breath new life into this long neglected farm with its’ originally hidden natural beauties. It is still a work in progress but I hope you agree we have made it somewhere very special to stay already.

The end result? A family run, welcoming haven for local and visiting dog lovers and their canine companions to enjoy this stunning region, make use of our unique facilities and get involved in the activities we hold and host.
