Go Ape Forest of Dean

Our two locations of Go Ape Forest of Dean – England’s largest oak woodland – is arguably our most beautiful place of residency. Mallards Pike Lake, home to our original Tree Top Adventure and Forest Segway, is a great spot for a picnic or a gentle lakeside walk. Three miles down the road, in the heart of the forest, Beechenhurst Lodge plays host to our Tree Top Junior Adventure making it a great location for a whole day out.

Enjoy two to three hours in the trees taking on Zip Wires, Tarzan Swings, Rope Ladders and a variety of obstacles and crossings. Our leafy hideout at the Forest of Dean has seen a complete redesign making it the perfect family outdoor activity. It includes brand new obstacles such as the Tank Trap, The Shuffle, Net Bridge and Itchen Crossing to name but a few and we’ve extended the Zip Wires on Sites 2 and 3.

Our Tree Top Junior Adventure is just three miles down the road, in the heart of the forest, at Beechenhurst Lodge.

If you’re looking for outdoor activities for children, then Go Ape’s got the answer. It’s a fun filled hour of canopy exploring, trail blazing and obstacles for all to enjoy. You’ll negotiate crossings and finish on a high (literally) with one awesome zip wire.

Hop aboard our all-terrain Segways and let us lead your Tribe into an historic woodland, rich in rare and unusual wildlife. Our self-balancing, stand-on Segways are powered by quiet electric motors, helping you get up close to wildlife such as wild boar and deer. The mixture of native and introduced tree species also supports the UK’s largest concentration of northern goskawks – a beautiful black and white bird of prey closely related to eagles and buzzards.
