No.131 Hotel and Restaurant
Owned and run by Julian Dunkerton, The Lucky Onion is a family of boutique hotels and elegant country pubs in the heart of the Cotswolds, England. Ever expanding we currently consist of five Lucky Onion properties; each one with its own distinct character and personality, but all sharing our genuine passion for great design, high quality food & drink and exceptional service.
We love eating and feel that some of life’s best memories are created over a table; sharing food with the people we care about most.
We strive to use the very best produce the UK has to offer with a real emphasis on Gloucestershire. This allows us to be creative with our menus, taking the finest seasonal produce we can find to ensure every dish plated up in our kitchens is the best it can possibly be. Delivering beautifully presented classics alongside experimental inventive cuisine.
We’ve worked side by side with UE Coffee, the only artisan wood-fired coffee roastery in the UK, whose Master Roasters combine their talent and experience to bring out the optimum taste, aroma and colour to create The Lucky Onion’s truly unique and sustainable house blend of beans from Brazil, Costa Rica and India. Cherish each sip at any Lucky Onion destination or grab and go with your coffee of choice in one of our biodegradable, takeaways cups.
Dunkerton’s organic cider can be found in every venue alongside a hearty selection of carefully selected real ales. Take yourself on a wine journey that will not disappoint, Julian’s passion for French and fine wines are reflected in our extensive wine list. If you happen to find yourself in No.131, why not try one of our wide range of specialist Gin cocktails or sip on some bubbles from our dedicated pop up Champagne Bar.
We do simple things exactly the way you want them. It’s always with attention to detail: the most comfortable beds, the most invigorating showers, intuitive service, freshly made food and thoughtful planning.
