Queens Hotel
Queens Hotel
Glide through the revolving doors into Queens Hotel, Cheltenham and you enter a splendid civilised haven where guests are the centre of highly attentive and discreet service.
Full appreciation of the lavish Palladian-style edifice, with its immaculate symmetry and classical Greek and Roman influences, is encountered on approach from the Promenade, an elegant, tree-lined avenue on which Queens is ideally positioned. Built over 170 years ago to accommodate wealthy visitors to the town’s many natural spas, the eminent Cheltonian landmark has been warmly accommodating locals and visitors to the town’s cricket, cultural and steeple-chasing festivals ever since.
Visitors often meander the surrounding Montpellier district, a fashionable area of elegant residences, chic cafes, smart boutiques and specialist merchants. After a morning browsing the shops, it’s simply wonderful to retreat into the sumptuous hotel to take coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. If more peckish, head into the Restaurant for a divine dinner.
For a post-snack repose, tuck yourself into our library corner, a quiet nook teeming with good reads for curious minds and newspapers.
Queens guests may eat and drink with a freedom rarely encountered. Meals are served where and when guests fancy: in the restaurant, the bar, lounge, guest rooms, the Orangery, garden or even as a fine picnic delivered at the nearby Imperial or Montpellier Gardens. Our kitchen operates all day. Our guests relish the liberty to order from a delicious selection featuring local, and thus, the freshest ingredients, 24 hours a day.
The Regency Suite is the ideal setting to host your meetings and events. A perfect venue for events ranging from parties, to banquets, to conferences, to private dining.
