Sisu Pancakes

Small business owner Laura, founded Sisu Pancakes back in 2019. As a child she had always wanted an alternative to traditional sponge cakes.

Laura has always been obsessed with pancakes and often asked her mother for a pancake cake for her birthday, however she had to settle with crepes for breakfast instead.

Whilst enjoying a long career within the corporate Aviation world she would often dabble making pancake cakes for friends and family. She decided to set up ‘SISU Pancakes’ whilst on maternity leave with her second son and began to bake from her home whilst selling to the public offering them a variety of pancake slices.

Fast forward 2 years and SISU is a flourishing small business, she now runs the business full time and has created a loyal fanbase on her social media channels offering her sell out mixed boxes of ‘SISU Original’ pancake slices. She also sells whole cakes, American dry mixes and published her first pancake recipe book in May 2021.

She is due to open her first pancake cake shop this August 2021 in the heart of Cheltenham city centre. Laura has since been awarded ’The most innovative bespoke pancake company award’ by Acquisition- International.
