The Crusty Loaf is an award winning chain of artisan bakeries based in The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Our shops are located in the small market towns of #Coleford, #Newent, and #Cinderford – all beautiful places, steeped with unique charm, heritage, and character.

We have been operating for 19 years and during this time, the local community have always been integral to our success. Our fantastic customers provide us with an urge to produce products that they want, need, and enjoy. Additionally, our local suppliers provide us with high quality ingredients to help us meet these demands.

Passion, patience, and persistence are key to our craft. Robin Revill, owner and award winning master baker, has long been adhering to these values. As a child he was inspired by the bread making ability of his Grandfather, and after completing his studies, he soon took up an apprenticeship at the local bakery. Here he spent many years learning all aspects of the trade, and in the year 2002, he took the exciting steps into bakery ownership. Since then, The Crusty Loaf has gone from loaf to loaf, and strength to strength.

In our shops we aim to give you an authentic, small market town, bakery experience! Our focus is on quality rather than quantity, Our baking staff have a combined total of over 150 years experience in the trade! We have master bakers, patisserie chefs, and apprentices, all who work with a passion, knowledge, and an enthusiasm to do their best!
