Westley Farm Cottages

A blissful bolt-hole nestled in breathtaking countryside offering glorious views, utter seclusion and fantastic pubs just a walk away, Westley Farm’s unique holiday cottages are available for weekend breaks, mid-week and full-week stays all year round.

Tucked away down a meandering drive at the head of the Golden Valley, Westley Farm is one of the Cotswolds’ best-kept secrets. Five self-catering, pet-friendly cottages, each with its own quirky charm, hidden on a 70-acre farm, surrounded by ancient woodland, rolling meadows and unrivalled views.

From spring to autumn we have two stunning glamping sites, a beautiful yurt and a unique octagonal log cabin, set at opposite ends of 30 acres of magnificent ancient woodland. The yurt has large deck, kitchen area and a roll-top bath inside a horse box, while the cabin boasts a watering can shower and antique wood-burning stove.

For the adventurous a canal runs along the edge of the farm, leading to the nearby town of Stroud, home to a thriving arts scene and a bustling farmer’s market. A 20 minute walk across the fields takes you to the nearest pub, The Crown at Frampton Mansell, a quintessential open-beamed Cotswolds inn where you can sit outside and watch the sun go down over the hills. Close by is the historic open common of Minchinhampton, where cows graze across the golf links. Further afield is the Roman market town of Cirencester.

Our cottages have one, two or three bedrooms, flagstone floors, fully-equipped kitchens, sheepskin rugs, Cotswold stone walls, wood-burning stoves or open fires – all the traditional things – as well as a few mod cons, in case you want to reconnect with the outside world, from 4G and free wifi to Freeview digital TV. There’s even a luxurious wood-fired hot tub at Jackdaw Cottage. Dogs are welcome and if there’s anything you need, just ask.

Westley Farm has long valued its natural environment and the farm has been managed sensitively to encourage wildlife habitats. From your cottage windows you may see kestrels, buzzards, owls, badgers, foxes and deer as well as the sheep and cattle that graze the fields.
