Westonbirt The National Arboretum

A magical tree garden, where you can explore trees from all over the globe. Boasting 15,000 specimens, 2,500 different species from the far corners of the globe, Westonbirt is the perfect place for you to escape, relax or have an adventure.

Created by the wealthy Holford family, back in the heyday of Victorian plant hunting, today the arboretum is internationally renowned not only for the diversity and importance of its collection but also its breath-taking beauty.

You can take plenty of trails throughout the arboretum, which will fire your kids’ imaginations. Go on a plant hunting orienteering adventure, or take on the Nature Play trail and see your young adventurers build a den of their own. Westonbirt also organises plenty of seasonal family trails, so you’ll always have something new to do.
