Bromyard

Bromyard is a small town located in Herefordshire in the West Midlands region of England. It is known for its beautiful countryside, rich history, and vibrant arts and culture scene. Bromyard has a long history, with evidence of settlement dating back to 840.The town was a major center of the wool trade in medieval times, and many of its historic buildings, including the parish church, date back to this period.

Enjoy walks across The Downs and Bringsty Common which provide 500 acres of pristine open grassland and heathland that offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Head into the town center and take a stroll through the historic market square, which is home to a number of interesting buildings and landmarks. Discover Tudor timber-framed buildings and Georgian shop fronts. You will find cosy cafes, bakeries, butchers, ironmongers, greengrocers and several traditional pubs serving British food.

Famous for hop production, apples and pears, its hardly surprising that Herefordshire’s award-winning Wye Valley Brewery is located on the road to Hereford and the area is also the home to several micro breweries, cider, perry and juice producers.

Today, Bromyard is a popular destination for visitors who are interested in exploring the local history, culture, and countryside. It is home to a number of annual events and festivals, including the Bromyard Folk Festival.
