Buzzard House

Buzzard House, so named as these majestic birds live in the nearby wood and are our closest neighbours. The house, started in the Georgian era, is situated in north-west Herefordshire and is surrounded by a mixture of farmland, orchard and woods, making it a peaceful and relaxing haven with beautiful vistas from every room in the house.

Buzzard House is the home of Richard and Sheryl Middleton. After corporate life in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, interspersed with worldwide travel, we decided to combine our love of good food, wine and relaxation and are delighted to welcome guests to this tranquil corner of Herefordshire where you have the chance to really unwind in comfortable surroundings with great food.

Our guest house is targeted at couples and we do not accommodate children or pets.

Buzzard House is perfectly placed for exploring the area whether it’s by car, on foot, or bicycle.

Buzzard House has 4 en-suite bedrooms and contains all of the luxuries and treats you could want for a weekend away. It is perfect for a romantic break, a walking or cycling holiday, an indulgent foodie weekend or celebrate a special family occasion.

Eating at Buzzard House will be shaped by the seasons and  ingredients are sourced  from local suppliers where possible. We aim to use the best that Herefordshire has to offer. Meat comes from local farms and is of top quality. We grow some of our own fruit, vegetables and herbs, but there are plenty of local people to make up the shortfall. We are well supplied with game from local dealers and so have pigeon, pheasant and partridge available on a regular basis.  Our fish usually comes from Cornwall.  Whilst our suppliers may change over time our current suppliers are credited on our daily menu.

Similarly, our wine list has been developed and supplied through local vintners.
