Contour runs the majority of its walking, navigation and cycling courses and holidays from the picturesque market town of Hay-on-Wye which affords easy access to the beautiful Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Hay also has the advantage of being within easy striking distance of some outstanding Wye Valley limestone and South Wales sandstone climbing.

The town’s close proximity to the mountains and crags ensures that you devote more time to your chosen activity and less time travelling to the venue. And when you’re relaxing, Hay-on-Wye has a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and shops which provide a great place to wind-down after an exhilarating day’s activity.

Our multi-pitch climbing & scrambling holidays and courses are run mainly in Snowdonia with the emphasis, once again, on staying as near to the crags as possible, maximising the time spent on the rock and minimising the travel.

Finally, Contour runs a number of annual overseas expeditions, focusing on rock climbing and cycling.
