Hereford Skateboard Park

Hereford Skateboard Park is free for everyone.

We are a charity skatepark, we are not funded by a local government or council. We are run by volunteers.

We are different to normal skateparks. Indoor Skateparks are usually run as a business and outdoor skateparks are usually built and owned by local councils. We are different, our skatepark is a community project, and is owned and managed by a charitable company – Wheeled Sports 4 Hereford Ltd.

Our skatepark is run by a committee who listen to the end users and take their views into account to make it better for others. All the money has been raised through grants/donations, organised by the project group.

We have a proper skateboard shop at the skatepark. We continue to run coaching sessions if you want to get into skateboarding. We have all the equipment, skateboards, helmets and padding so you can come along without anything or if you have a skateboard bring it along.

All the income from the shop goes towards keeping the project going and the upkeep of the skatepark.

We have an upstairs Art Gallery Wall for regular exhibitions and if you would like to exhibit in the gallery just post us. You will need to send us some pics of your Art so we can plan our exhibition program.

We didn’t raise enough to build any toilets on the site but there are some in next door Leisure Centre or across the road in the B&Q store.

There is full skatepark lighting with a “card reader” system. Users of the park can purchase cards – £2.50 for 1 hour to switch the lights on and these are available in the Boom Box shop at the skatepark.

Before you can purchase cards you will need to sign up to the Hereford Skatepark Membership scheme. Membership is a one off £5 from the Boom Box.

If you already have a membership card you can also purchase the lighting cards from the TEXACO 24 hr petrol station in Holmer Road.

The membership scheme is designed to make sure that those who want to use the lighting are skateboarders, BMXers and roller bladers and not “lurkers” and also reasonably adult to ensure that the lighting system is not abused.
