Mad Dogs and Vintage Vans

Mad Dogs and Vintage Vans are located in the heart of the Wye Valley with stunning views out to the Black Mountains and Hay Bluff.

Our four gorgeous caravans are nestled in a small wildflower meadow in the garden of a Grade II listed rectory.

Guests are free to use our tennis court and all vans face west to take advantage of the spectacular sunsets.

A moment’s walk away you’ll find the shower shack and campfire within a pretty piece of woodland. It’s a place that’s full of charm for kids and adults alike featuring mature trees, dappled light and wildflowers.

Perfect for building dens, swinging on a tyre and toasting marshmallows, a stay with us all about enjoying the simple things – cooking over a campfire, birdsong and starry nights.

The devil is in the detail and we like to think you will have everything you need for a perfect stay. Monty, Sybil and Gertie feature cosy wood burning stoves and all the vans have hot water bottles, vintage quilts and blankets along with feather duvets and pillows to keep you warm and toasty.

We have made every endeavour to make the glampsite as environmentally friendly as possible.

The upcycled showershack is full of character and boasts hot water on demand, a flushing loo and complimentary organic toiletries for a touch of luxury. In the absence of electricity, lighting is by way of low level solar, fairy lights, lanterns and candles making for a magical atmosphere.
