Red Lion

The Red Lion in Madley is a magnificent 16th century pub. We are located in the stunning Herefordshire countryside. Madley is a historic village set between Hereford and the famous Book town of Hay-on-Wye.

The Dalingwater family originates from The North of England – but our chapter arrived in Madley via Canada. John is Canadian born and Bernadette although born in the north of England (Cheshire) spent the last 40 years in Niagara, Canada.The Dalingwaters bring artistic joy to the history of the pub and have created a feeling of welcome home – for everyone to enjoy.

We have an ever changing menu, we only work with what is fresh for that week to give you the finest dinning experience! The Red Lion is a Canadian family run business therefore we will always be adding special Canadian dishes to our growing menu!
