The Stables

The Stables welcome you to Herefordshire’s first and only Horse Racing themed pub and restaurant, located in the heart of Hereford in a Grade II listed building. The Stables sources ingredients from some of the UK’s best independent food and drink producers.

We are also home of one of the best Gin selections in the County.

The Stables interior features genuine Equestrian memorabilia from some of Horse Racing’s most famous, including Grand National winning silks and more. An intimate experience in our gastro-restaurant will leave our taste buds wanting more. One of our unique features is working closely with Wye Valley Brewery and local horse owner Mark Blandford to rename a familiar premium ale in homage to Mark’s racehorse: Plenty of Butty.

The Scudamore Post is our carefully created, handpicked menu using the finest ingredients and always local produce where possible. Named after one of the great, local horse trainers, The Scudamore Family, our menu has been designed with elegance to ensure a memorable taste sensation and experience with every meal.

We believe in making friends in our bijou outside area, great stories at the bar, making memories around a table, traditional values and recipes, and most importantly, being your favourite local place to be.
