Community Toilet Location
Great British Toilet Scheme
There are a number of businesses across the county who will let you use their toilet without needing to make a purchase and we work with restaurants, bars and shops to provide more clean, safe and accessible toilets for members of the public.
You can see all of the locations of these as well as public toilets and accessible toilets on the Great British Toilet Map.
You can tell a business participates in the scheme, as it will display a 'Use our loo' community toilet scheme sticker to show what facilities are available. If you are a business interested in joining the scheme, please Herefordshire Council.
The National Key Scheme offers disabled people independent access to locked public toilets around the country. Toilets fitted with National Key Scheme locks can be found in shopping centres, pubs, cafés, department stores, bus and train stations and many other locations in most parts of the country.
The National Key Scheme offers disabled people independent access to around 9,000 locked public toilets around the country. You can purchase a Radar Key from the Disability Rights UK website. Disability Rights UK also sell booklets listing all the locations where you can use a key.
There are toilets with enough space for disabled people and their carers, and the right equipment, including a height adjustable changing bench and a hoist in some locations across the county. You can find the location for these toilets on the Changing Places website.
