An Apple Gathering At Croft Castle: The Orchard Year

Croft Castle’s latest exhibition, ‘An Apple Gathering’, begins on 22 April, with the launch of The Orchard Year soundscape and an outdoor installation in the walled garden.

Enter Croft Castle’s walled garden discover the historic orchard transformed into an outdoor gallery, featuring paintings and poetry that explore the seasonal journey of apples throughout The Orchard Year.

Become fully immersed in your surroundings by downloading The Orchard Year soundscape*, which weaves together music, poetry, wassails, and bird song into ‘the voice of the orchard’. The soundscape will also be playing in the Ambassador Room on the first floor in the Castle, where you can discover more artwork and information associated with the seasonality of the apple.

This exhibition is part of the Apples & People programme, a partnership between the Brightspace Foundation, The Museum of Cider Hereford, and the National Trust in Herefordshire.
