An Apple Gathering At Croft Castle: The Apple Art Hunt

From 29 July, Croft becomes a world of apple discovery, telling the many stories of the apple through a diverse collection of artworks around the castle, church, and garden.

The second stage of Croft Castle’s latest exhibition, ‘An Apple Gathering’, begins on 29 July, with the launch of ‘The Apple Art Hunt’.

Enter a world of apple discovery and explore the many complex meanings of this humble fruit through a diverse collection of artworks, including sculptures, paintings, glassworks, and music.

You can get involved with the exhibition by seeking out the fruit in some surprising places around the castle, church, grounds, and gardens – within the pages of books, on mantlepieces, and even by using your ears!

This exhibition is part of the Apples & People programme, a partnership between the Brightspace Foundation, The Museum of Cider Hereford, and the National Trust in Herefordshire. Programme curated by Antonia Harrison – Art, Curate, Consult.
