Visit the museum and find out how people power in the 18th century was a key part of the history of cider and had the power to plunge the country into chaos.

Did you know the phrase ‘An Englishman’s Home is his Castle’ came about because of government tax attacks on cider-making and liberty in the 18th century? Find out what exactly was happening in the Georgian period which provoked infamous cider riots. New interpretation just for a Heritage Open Day. Free admission to the museum.
