Free film tickets at The Courtyard for National Lottery Cinema Weekend

The Courtyard are pleased to be taking part in the National Lottery’s Cinema Weekend on 19 June 2021.

Every time someone plays The National Lottery, they are helping to raise £30 million a week for charitable causes. From communities, sports, arts, heritage projects all the way through to the film industry.

To say thank you, The National Lottery are inviting players, plus a guest to see a film for free at The Courtyard Cinema, and at participating cinemas across the UK, on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June.

Audiences will need their National Lottery ticket, scratch card or Instant Win game to apply for a pair of adult cinema tickets. Tickets can be claimed at www.cinemaweekend.co.uk and are valid only for films being shown on Saturday 19 or Sunday 20 June.

Screening at The Courtyard on 19 June are Peter Rabbit™ 2: The Runaway (U) in which, despite his best efforts, Peter can’t seem to shake his mischievous reputation; Dream Horse (PG), a true story that sees Jan convince her neighbours to chip in their meagre earnings to help raise unlikely racehorse Dream Alliance, in the hopes he can compete with the racing elites; and Oscar and BAFTA winning The Father (12A) starring Anthony Hopkins who plays the eponymous role of a mischievous and highly independent man who, as he ages, refuses all assistance from his daughter Anne (Olivia Colman).

With Covid restrictions still in place, The Courtyard has adopted a carefully planned range of safety measures to keep audiences safe. More information can be found at courtyard.org.uk/keeping-you-safe.

The Courtyard screen up to 4 films a day in their cinema, from popular blockbusters to art-house films and live screenings from venues such as the National Theatre and Royal Opera House. The Courtyard is also central Box Office to Borderlines, a film festival celebrating the best independent cinema from across the world.
