Hay Music Festival

We are very excited to announce the merger of the Black Mountains Chamber Music Trust with the Hay Music Trust to take place in the New Year. From 2024 the annual Fitzwilliam @ Hay Chamber Music Festival will therefore be known as The Hay Music Festival.

The Black Mountains Chamber Music Trust was formed in 2018 to take over the organisation and running of the annual Hay Chamber Music Festival from the Hay Music Trust and under the auspices of The Fitzwilliam @ Hay Chamber Music Festival has evolved into a four-day programme of concerts, talks, films, and outreach activities with the Fitzwilliam String Quartet and invited musicians and musicologists.

It has now become apparent that the Black Mountains Chamber Music Trust and its audience, patrons and benefactors would benefit from becoming part of the Hay Music Trust and by becoming one we hope to bring even more interest and diversity to the Hay Music Trust’s annual calendar of events and the Hay Music Festival.

As we work towards this objective you will see some changes in the presentation of the Festival in 2024.
