Join us for a guided walk between two of the Ironbridge Gorge’s ‘must see’ museums – Coalport China Museum and Jackfield Tile Museum.

A member of the Friends of Ironbridge Gorge Museum will lead visitors on this specially developed guided walk that takes in both of these important museums and some of the fascinating local history highlights in between.

• A stretch of the Coalport Canal – which led to the foundation of Coalport
• Jackfield & Coalport Memorial Bridge – the only known War Memorial in the form of a bridge
• The Boat Inn – one of the surviving 23 pubs that were dotted along the banks of the River Severn
• The Maw & Co Decorative Tile Works – at one time among the largest decorative tile works in the world, whose products can be found as far away as India and Australia. Now a craft centre

Car parking (£) is available at both sites, and the café at Jackfield is a perfect place for coffee or lunch. The Jackfield site includes a number of artist and maker studios and galleries which are open to the public all year round.

Free to join the walk but places are limited so book your place on arrival at the Museum.
