Wild Wolf Breakfast

Taking place at 9am, the Wild Wolf Breakfast is an amazing opportunity to help our keepers feed our Wolves before settling down for a spot of breakfast yourself.

Participate in the Wild Wolf Breakfast for a unique opportunity to assist our keepers in tong-feeding our Wolves within the safety of the keeper area at Hoo Zoo. During this extraordinary experience in Shropshire, you’ll be involved in preparing the Wolves’ meals (which include meat, not suitable for the squeamish), adding enrichment elements, and using tongs to feed them. Throughout the encounter, the keeper will accompany you, sharing information about the animals and ensuring your safety. The Wolf feeding takes place just outside the Wolf paddock in the keeper area.

Following this, you’ll have the chance to meet the Wolves’ near cousins, our Red or Arctic Foxes, where you’ll be invited into the enclosure for a hands-on feeding experience.

After the immersive encounter, relax with a hot drink and your choice of either Vegan Pancakes or a sausage bap before continuing to enjoy the rest of your day at Hoo Zoo.

Please note that, at the keeper’s discretion, the food preparation part of the experience may be skipped to allow more time for interactive moments with the animals if they are particularly engaged on that day. It’s essential to be mindful that the welfare of our animals is paramount, and all interactions occur on their terms, respecting their nature and preferences.
