Tanners Halloween Tour

The annual favourite is here once again … Tanners Halloween Tour, this year with an ink smudge of Dickens. Dig deep in the fancy dress box, pluck up some courage and come back in time to the Old Unicorn Inn for an evening of story telling and spooky happenings.

And so to the age of the Coaching Inn, of carriages tearing down Wyle Cop and insalubrious guests residing within these historic walls. On stepping through the large wooden doors of 26 Wyle Cop on this late-autumn night, we will welcome you, drinks at the ready and guide you through the many passageways and cellars of this old tavern.

Our costumed guides, Alexandra Chidley-Uttley and Erica Baker-Vilain, will take you on a journey through the past with tales of ghosts, haunted sightings and the dark and sometimes bleak history of this ancient market town.

Acquaint yourselves with the many darkly Dickensian characters of this Wyle Cop Tavern. Some of whom will be glad to greet you, others might be a little less welcoming … listen out for creaking doors, the cries of Miss Havisham, the rattle of Marley’s chains and the eerie voices of those longing to tell their tale!

Please note this is a limited ticket event and sells out fast, no dallying, get your tickets quick! Ticket includes a glass of fizz on arrival (and a top up!) a full tour, and a glass of port to end the evening.
