Alkington Grange Barns is the ideal location for a Family Reunion, Birthday Gathering, Anniversary or just a relaxing holiday or short break. Our Central England location is ideal for exploring Shropshire, Cheshire and the Welsh Borders. We are just 25 minutes off the M6, 1 hour 15 minutes from Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool and approx. 3 hours from London. 1 hour from Manchester or Liverpool Airport.

We have five Self Catering Holiday Cottages, three Large Holiday Cottages, James’s Parlour that sleeps 12 people & Oliver’s Mill & Buttercups Haybarn that can sleep 10, this makes them ideal for a family gathering, friends get together or corporate groups. We also have two smaller Cottages available.

Our stunning Holiday Cottages are surrounded by beautiful Shropshire Countryside, perfect for family walks. Watch the sunrise or set over the farm whilst enjoying a relaxing drink, with your family and friends around you. A perfect place for a restful holiday.
There are many walks around the farm including the Whixall Walk and The Shropshire Way. These walks take you through wonderful countryside and are perfect for all ages.

We have a wide range of facilities, including an Indoor Heated Swimming Pool, Multi Sports Court, Toddler Play Area and a Woodland Picnic Site as well as BBQ Facilities. Perfect for a family holiday or family gathering.

Just beyond your farm gate lie plenty of stunning walks, the Shropshire Way runs through the farm and the Llangollen canal is just down the road.

Our Country Cottage accommodation makes the perfect spring board to visit Wales with its stunning landscapes and many steam trains, Chester with its wonderful Zoo and great shopping, Shrewsbury with all it’s history and Ironbridge with the incredible Iron Bridge Gorge.
