Clun Farm House

Clun Farm House is a medieval cruck construction dating from the 13th century with all the nooks, crannies, and beams you would expect in such an ancient home. The decor is simple, unpretentious, and delightful with attractive fabrics and paints complementing the more architectural charms of flagstones and original fireplaces.

The feel is rural yet the house is perfectly placed for exploring our delightful village or wandering down to the pub for a pint. Bring your children, dog, horse, or bike or maybe just a good book. See magnificent star filled skies at night and wake up to birdsong.

We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in four simple cottage-style upstairs bedrooms.

• Double En suite / Family Room – Sleep in an original brass and iron bed under the cruck beam in this colourful oak floored room overlooking the front garden. There is an adjacent bunk room for children complete with story books for bedtime reading. William Morris bed linens, comfortable arm chair and tea and coffee facilities ensure your comfort.
• Double/Twin with adjacent shower room – Antique pine furniture, sloping wooden floor, and wonky sky blue walls let the character shine through in this large room overlooking the front garden with tea and coffee facilities.
• Single 1 – calm colours, collectibles, and oak floor delight in this tiny single room with shared bathroom a few steps away.
• Single 2 – warm yellow paint and ice cream colours delight in this tiny single room with shared bathroom next door.

There is also a comfortable sitting room just for guests overlooking the country garden with feather sofa and chair, a wood burner to light on chilly days, games, books, and magazines. In the summertime relax among the foxgloves in the country garden. After a day out or a good walk, sit beside the wood burner in the drawing room with a good book or pile of magazines.

For horse lovers, Clun Farm House is set amidst the rolling hills of the once royal hunting ground of Clun forest and offers cosy B&B accommodation for you and your horse. Stabling, on site corral & grazing are provided as well as ample parking for horse boxes & lorries. We are located in the heart of the village backing onto fields and forests, and are near to three pubs and all village amenities, so there isn’t even a need to move the horse box once you arrive!
