Flaxmill Maltings Visitor Centre

The Friends have been running tours and open days since their formation to make these important historic buildings accessible so that organisations, groups and individuals can explore, learn, participate in and enjoy the unique and varied heritage.

The Friends of Flaxmill Maltings (Friends) were formed in August 2010 in response to the public consultation and growing interest and enthusiasm for the development of the Flaxmill Maltings amongst the community.

Our Vision is that:
Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings is brought back to life at the heart of the community.

Our Mission is that:
We will provide opportunities for all to engage with and be inspired by the Flaxmill Maltings. We will enable current and future generations to appreciate and celebrate their heritage. We will achieve this by providing projects and activities, which encourage learning, recreation, community engagement and employment.
