Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom

A family run countryside attraction Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom nestles in 32 acres of woodland and paddocks in the heart of rural Shropshire. The farm itself is possibly 200 years old and over the years has been a dairy farm, Christmas tree nursery and an award-winning farm attraction, but most of all it has been a happy home to the Dorrell family since 1988.

At Hoo Farm, we are very passionate about educating children to respect their environment, animals and even from a young age to participate in some form of conservation. Make your visit extra special by booking one of our keeper or animal experiences.

Visit the wildlife in Lemur Forest; Animals of the World; Rivers, Rainforests and Deserts; and Wallaby Woods. If you like Parrots, birds and all things feathery, visit Parrots of the Caribbean, this is the place to be. With over 20 different species of parrots, including Macaws, Cockatoos and Amazons – there’s never a dull moment. Located within easy reach of the Tea Room, this is the ideal place to settle down for your lunch.

We have an indoor & outdoor play area, pedal go-karts, sheep racing, wet weather activities and you can feed the animals. To finish your day off, why not pop into our shop for a memento of your visit. Burgers, Hot Dogs and Jacket Potatoes are served from our Cow Shed Snack Shop. We also have an indoor and outdoor picnic area for your own food.

We can cater for special occasions such as birthdays and the package includes food, the exclusive use of our two party areas, admission to Hoo Farm for the entire day, one free adult per child and one hour Long Animal Man Tour and Handling session.

If you are looking for a wedding with a difference? Why not have your wedding with us? Without walls, a marquee or tipi wedding allows for you to be as creative or traditional as you want. Let us take the stress out of organising your day so that you can focus on what really matters… your wedding! We can be as hands on or off as you need. Your bespoke package can include anything from a simple marquee set-up to help with full planning and co-ordination.

Located only a 2 minute walk from the Hoo Farm is Badger’s Wood, a unique self catering accommodation on the outskirts of Telford. The well equipped open plan family apartment offers the opportunity to experience life in a real log cabin nestled in an extensive wooded garden with access to a large decked area with Hot Tub and BBQ area. Wildlife is in abundance with regular sightings of wild badgers, foxes, buzzards and owls amongst other bird life. All stays include admission to Hoo Farm – only during farm opening hours.
