Horsehay Village Golf Club
Horsehay Village Golf Club
Shropshire’s friendly golf club, Horsehay Village Golf Club, is an independent club with an 18 hole grassland/links par 70, which is 5974 yards long off white tees. It was built on the site of a former opencast mine in the mid 1990’s. The Golf Club operates in partnership with the Horsehay Golf and Fitness Centre to provide its members with the opportunity to gain a CONGU recognised handicap and offers a full list of competitive fixtures throughout the year.
We are a small friendly club with Gents, Ladies and Junior sections. You can join the club and get an official golf handicap. Whether you are a Gent, Lady, Senior or Junior, an experienced golfer or a novice, all are welcome. We have a busy golfing calendar that runs throughout the year, which provides ample opportunity to lower your handicap and improve your golf whilst playing in a friendly and social environment.
The Centre, which also includes a Driving Range, 6 hole Academy Course, and an impressive Club House is owned and managed by Telford and Wrekin Council. The Centre operates a “golf for all” policy and the course and all other facilities on the site are open to the general public.
The Golf Club has an open membership, with no waiting list to join and no joining fee. Currently the Golf Club has a thriving membership, and has separate sections for Ladies, Senior Men and Juniors in addition to the main Club. All sections give a warm welcome to new members.
