The restaurant serves locally sourced, seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The à la carte menu is complimented with a comprehensive wine list, and this, together with the friendly service are the ingredients of many memorable dining experiences.

Our head chef and his talented brigade have been awarded two AA Rosettes for their menu innovation and skills.

We have several delicious menu options throughout the week, and these change daily please see the menu section for dates and times.

Tables can be booked in our historic oak beamed restaurant , inglenook , or in our bar, or outside in our covered courtyard garden Our private dining rooms seat 6,8,10 or 12 , and we also have a large dining room to seat up to 30 people.

Rooms
Each of the lion + pheasant’s twenty-two bedrooms is individually styled, combining the best of contemporary design with the historic inn.

All are provided with excellent amenities, including luxury oak and wrought-iron beds, pocket-sprung mattresses, fine linens, spacious power-showers, flat-screen TVs, free wi-fi , and luxury toiletries.

Bar
Offering a wide selection of local ales, wines and cocktails, the lion + pheasant’s bar is known for its cocktails and m for its extensive selection of Gins. The bars oak floors, and quirky furniture, create the perfect atmosphere for meeting friends, and having casual dining. There’s lots of space inside and out doors in the covered courtyard garden.
