Long Mynd Archers

Long Mynd Archers is an archery club based at Church Stretton, Shropshire. Nestled in the outstanding beauty of the Shropshire Hills, we specialise in target archery and cater for recurve, compound and longbows. We have a thriving junior section as well as a senior section.

We are proud to currently have 7 Archery GB accredited coaches at various levels, ensuring we can meet the coaching needs of everybody from beginner through to international archer. All Archery GB accredited coaches are enhanced DBS checked.

Long Mynd Archers is affiliated to the Shropshire Archery Society, the West Midlands Archery Society and Archery GB. We are a member of Ontarget, Archery GB’s Club Development Programme. Clubs joining Ontarget are making a public pledge to be open and friendly, to advance archery and to pro-actively work with Archery GB.

Before you can shoot, you must complete a beginners course. Initially, you will be taught how to shoot by our experienced club coaches. As the course progresses, you will learn about the many aspects and styles of archery. All equipment is provided. Once the course has been completed, you are free to join the club.

Some times you just want to try before you commit, if that’s you, why not pop along to one of our ‘Have a Go’ sessions. A list of dates are available on our website.

If you are member of the Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs, Youth Clubs or indeed any club or group, then why not arrange an evening of archery for your group? All equipment will be provided. This is ideal for school activity days, team building days or even birthday parties.
