Surrounded by beautiful countryside, we are the perfect place to begin your exploration of the area at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.

EXPERIENCE the Shropshire Hills Through Time exhibition. From start to finish, use all of your senses to explore the Ice Age through to the present day. Our exhibition houses the well known and much loved replica skeleton of the fully grown male mammoth that was found less than 20 miles up the road in Condover. This replica is one of only two that can be found in the UK. Alongside the well known Shropshire Mammoth and film are new interactives and games for all the family to enjoy.

RELAX in our award winning café. With homemade cakes, local lunches and Shropshire cream teas, our café offers a true taste of the Shropshire landscape. Our menus and specials of the day are all prepared from scratch, on site and our Sunday lunches are a firm favourite.

EXPLORE our 30 acres of riverside Meadows. Walk and cycle through our trees, past our dragonfly and butterfly hotspots and along our River Onny. Enjoy our all ability access paths, perfect for wheelchairs and pushchairs so everyone can enjoy being in the great outdoors. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the meadows so you can enjoy your picnic or food from the café on our benches.
