The Coach and Horses

A traditional coaching inn renowned for real ale. Serving Salopian Oracle and Shropshire Gold, Stonehouse Station and two guest ales from local breweries.

Sat in a quiet street off the main shopping area, here at the Coach we provide a peaceful haven for all. According to local archives, this pub was first recorded in 1861 and up until the late 20th century had a ‘men only’ bar. It was then expanded down Cross Hill into our cosy and inviting restaurant.

The Coach is proud to have been a very early entry in the Good Beer Guide back in 1975 and since then have been regular entrants each year including 2016.
