The Crown Country Inn
The Crown Country Inn
Welcome to the Crown Country Inn near Ludlow and Craven Arms in Shropshire. The Crown is a Grade II listed building that has been transformed into a comfortable Bed and Breakfast and Restaurant with many original features still in place. Inglenook fire places, flagstone floors and carvings in wooden beams set in an historic atmosphere for you to take lodgings or dine.
The Corvedale Restaurant, located on the first floor with its magnificent open fireplace, was the local courtroom in the 17th Century, sometimes presided by the infamous Judge Jefferies. Now it hosts a warm and friendly atmosphere to dine in.
The Crown’s Bay Restaurant is also a perfect place to dine, with its large bay window allowing you to enjoy the bright summer evenings to the full.
We have a lovely boisterous Boxer dog ourselves and we welcome well behaved dogs. Our doggy friends are most welcome in the front courtyard and in the bar area on our paw friendly tables, as long as there are no objections from other diners! Water and doggy treats available with a cosy warm welcome and atmosphere. There are some lovely walks near us including the Three Castles walk just behind the Inn.
