The Foundry Masters House
The Foundry Masters House
Originally built in the early 1800s, The Foundry Masters House has now been lovingly restored; today, the house boasts attractive and elegant Georgian-style accommodation, rich in beautiful period features. The house is situated in the quiet village of Coalbrookdale, just a mile from the historic Iron Bridge, elevated above the road and beneath Coalbrookdale Church.
The house was originally constructed as a home for the local Foundry Master and has been sensitively restored by the owners and now houses 3 beautiful en-suite rooms.
The rooms have period-style bathrooms, original fireplaces, authentic Georgian coving and high ceilings complete with picture rails. Crystal chandeliers further enhance the historic atmosphere. The rooms are finished in Georgian colours and have far eastern-style carpets and period-style mahogany furniture. Modern comforts and facilities have been carefully integrated and each room has a TV with Sky channels and a built-in DVD player.
There is an al a carte dining area with a full time Chef at the property, and we are licensed to offer guests a good choice of Beers, Wines and Spirits to enjoy.
To the rear of the property, located beneath the Church, there is an external dining area which is surrounded by glass wind screens for guests to enjoy the panoramic views, covered by a heated umbrella.
