The Mytton & Mermaid Hotel

A magnificent grade II listed building, standing on the banks of the River Severn, The Mytton & Mermaid Hotel has been tastefully decorated to capture the charms of its original coaching inn days, reflecting an atmosphere of comfort and tranquillity.

The coaching inn has been awarded 4 AA stars and a coveted AA rosette for quality food and service in a welcoming environment. Food is served all day and the range of menus feature fresh seasonal produce produced by the talented kitchen brigade. The venue benefits from a central location and is ideal for weddings, meetings and functions alike. Resident guests can enjoy a range of short breaks in well appointed bedrooms.

The accommodation at the Mytton and Mermaid provides flexible options and all include our famous Shropshire breakfast for our guests. Guests may select from guest rooms located in the historic coaching inn, in our courtyard, or in our Bramble Cottage. Travel cots and foldaway beds can be put in some of the rooms to accommodate families.

All rooms are en-suite and have a fine range of teas and coffees provided on the complimentary beverage trays. Complimentary breakfast for our guests is served in the restaurant. Some rooms look over the lawns to the river and others have views across the front lawn to the gates of Attingham Park.

We pride ourselves on using Shropshire produce wherever possible and regularly update menus to reflect the changing seasons. Having gained an AA Rosette for culinary excellence, our Executive Head Chef Christopher Burt & his team are constantly pushing boundaries, embracing both old & new alike. A selection of menus are served all day and evening, guests can select from breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and supper menus, including a wide selection for vegetarians, vegans & coeliac. Diners can enjoy changing daily specials at lunch and dinner.
