The Old Dower House

The Old Dower House is a beautiful 16th century property situated in the heart of the peaceful and picturesque village of Marbury which lies on the Shropshire Cheshire borders and very close to the border of North Wales. It enjoys spectacular views over Marbury Mere and the surrounding rolling countryside and is a perfect base to explore this beautiful part of the world.

At The Old Dower House, the emphasis is on luxury, relaxation and delicious food! Whilst we offer bed and breakfast for a one night stay, we would always encourage you to stay for at least two nights to take full advantage of the facilities and surrounding area. We would love you to experience the countryside to the fullest, whether it be from the comfort of your room, the upstairs guest lounge, or perhaps you wish to put on your walking boots or wellies and enjoy one of the many local walks. We love our garden and invite you to have a wander around or take a minute on the swing seat in the veggie patch.

We hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay and would love you to visit us again, so why not take a little reminder of your stay. We sell jars of homemade chutney and jam, using produce from the garden where possible and a selection of gift items, cards and art work by ‘Maisie Rose’. We can only take cash or cheques for these items so be sure to bring a little spending money.
