Lichfield Garrick Theatre

The Lichfield Garrick stands as a contemporary, purpose-built theatre that was inaugurated in 2003, garnering accolades for its design. This distinguished venue hosts an extensive array of artistic performances, encompassing musical theatre, drama, comedy, music, and family-oriented entertainment within the confines of Lichfield City. With two distinct theatre spaces, namely the Theatre and the Studio, it presents more than 400 shows annually.

In 2013, the Lichfield Garrick underwent a transition to become a charitable trust, marking a significant step in its organisational structure. The theatre actively engages in the creation and co-production of works, while also orchestrating weekly initiatives like the Garrick Community Choir, the Morning Chorus, and the Garrick Young Rep.

Notably, the Lichfield Garrick has achieved notable recognition within its domain. In 2017, it was honoured with the UK Theatre Award for being the Most Welcoming Theatre in the West Midlands. Furthermore, it secured the What’s On Award for being Staffordshire’s premier Arts Venue in 2018.
