Traditional Flower Pressing With Meadow & Thyme

Spend a beautiful and relaxing day on the Netherwood Estate with expert pressed flower artist Sarah Holland. This floristry course is for learning the skills of traditional flower pressing.

Sarah (of @meadowandthyme fame) will guide you through her flower pressing techniques, providing tips and tricks on how to work with different flowers and achieve stunning pressings. You’ll then spend time gathering flowers from the Netherwood Manor gardens before putting your learning into practice, pressing them in a traditional press that is yours to keep.

After a delicious two course lunch from the kitchen garden, Sarah will demonstrate how she creates her pressed flower artwork, before providing you with a selection of pre-pressed flowers from which you can mindfully create your own floral masterpiece. Your artwork will then be framed and yours to take away.

• Included in the cost is a quality large traditional flower press complete with blotting paper and greyboard, designed by Sarah and made in the UK (sold in our shop for £120)
• The press fits A4 paper to allow for large pressings, and has been created with Sarah’s knowledge and experience to be beautiful, practical and durable
• £250 to include all tuition, materials, lunch and refreshments throughout the day
