Worcester Cathedral
Worcester Cathedral is one of England’s loveliest cathedrals. With royal tombs of King John and Prince Arthur, medieval cloisters, ancient crypt and chapter house, and magnificent Victorian stained glass. There is also a fascinating ancient library and archive, which houses the second largest collection of medieval manuscripts in any cathedral in the UK.
Worcester Cathedral is open daily, with Services three times daily.
Occasionally areas of the Cathedral are closed, or access restricted due to events.
We welcome families, groups, and individuals, with refreshments, a quality gift shop, and disabled access.
Large groups of visitors must pre-book before coming to the Cathedral.
Group guided tours can be booked all year round. Individuals are able to ‘Turn up for a Tour’ at 11.00am and 2.30pm on Saturdays.
In addition from April to the end of November individuals can ‘Turn up for a tour’ twice a day, Monday to Saturday at 11.00am and at 2.30pm. To visit the medieval library booking is essential.
We do not have our own visitor car park but there are several car parks within walking distance.

The Tower is usually open to climb during weekends and school holidays from February to October (weather and events permitting).
Those working in this inspiring building are amazed and delighted to be able to learn something new every day. Come and discover more for yourself about the cathedral, visit any day of the year.
We also offer conference facilities catering for 6-45.
Access to most parts of the Cathedral is available for disabled visitors. At present access is not available to the Tower and the Library due to the ancient, narrow spiral staircases. Access to the crypt is planned for the future.
A tactile guide can be used by the visually impaired. A loop is available at all services for the hard of hearing.
