Pittville Pump Room presents the comedy club.

Our monthly stand-up comedy club continues to delight audiences in the auspicious Pittville Pump Rooms.

This month we welcome April-Fools (see what we did there?) Howard Read. Katie Pritchard, Juliet Meyers and compered by one of our all-time faves Ben Van der Velde!

Ben Van der Velde
Ben Van der Velde is a stand-up comedian, actor, improviser and presenter. Over the past few years, has spread joy and nonsense to all four corners of the British Isles, as well as Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Norway.

Outside the circuit, Ben has performed a voodoo re-marriage ceremony, founded the Church of the Holy Kazoo with comedy legend Mark Thomas, and walked the entire London Underground network to raise money for The Refugee Council.

Katie Pritchard
Get ready for some high-octane musical comedy fun from carnage-wielding, mayhem-manifesting, human disco ball: Katie Pritchard. Expect incredible (very hand-made) costumes, chaos, and some pumping choons in a high-octane romp through Katie’s synapses; enjoy observational comedy from a completely different angle.

Juliet Meyers
Managing to mix silliness with edginess, Juliet Meyers has a chatty style that allows her to interact with the crowd; this makes her much in demand both as a comedian and an MC.

She has been bringing her own brand of hilarious, cerebral, observational, gag–driven, comedy to the stage for 10 years.

Howard Read
Howard Read is a comic, writer, animator and actor, in that order. He is best known for being one half (and the other half), of the Big Howard, Little Howard, the world’s first human cartoon double-act. He is also an acclaimed stand-up comic, writer, author, illustrator and animator.
As a Stand up Howard Read is brilliantly off the wall. Totally silly, songs and jokes and stupidness. The man is a buffoon of the highest order. And in this business that is a good thing.
