Severn Jesters

Discover the new stars of stand-up and the best from the fringe, at Theatre Severn’s outrageously popular comedy club! Early booking recommended.

MC CERYS NELMES
Cerys has had a very colourful and eventful life which she loves talking about to make people laugh. She performs her comedy in a story telling style with a West Country charm that is easy to warm to. Cerys has worked very hard to forge a strong career in the comedy industry. She is a leading mc on the comedy circuit, working for major UK clubs and UK charity events. Cerys has a fantastic stage presence and her audience interaction is flawless.

JENNY HART
Blimey what a journey! Jenny Hart came out in comedy as transgender to support her journey…then comedy came out to support her…now look at her! She is a part time musical comedy act with a large side of dark humour and bags of energy, moving up through the ranks and bashing down comedy doors and changing attitudes. She loves what she does and she loves the reactions she gets and she’d love to push those boundaries further… Exeter maybe?

SEAN GORMAN
Since starting, Sean has quickly proven to have a bright future in stand up. Within the first couple of years he reached the finals of the Reading Fringe New Act, Piccadilly Comedy Club New Act and South Coast Comedian of The Year competitions. Displaying the stage presence of a more seasoned comedian, his deadpan delivery of self deprecating humour has the audience hanging on every word.

JOSH PUGH
Josh Pugh is a comedian and writer from the Midlands. He was winner of English Comedian of the Year and the Birmingham Breaking Talent Award. He is known for his frequent viral hit videos such as ‘Inventing the four cheese pizza’ and ‘Piss up in a brewery’. He appeared in new sitcom Sneakerhead and has written on an upcoming Spencer Jones show Deep Fakes as well as writing for Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Emily Atack Show and The Island.
