Barton Court forms the heart of a country estate that goes back hundreds of years. It sits on the edge of the village of Colwall between Ledbury in Herefordshire and Malvern in Worcestershire with spectacular views of both counties. Surrounded by history and beauty, with the Malvern Hills as its backdrop, this lovely country house rental is private but not isolated.

The property is made up of the principal dwelling, The Clock Tower and a cluster of ancillary buildings can be rented for short breaks, weddings and events, altogether, in various combinations or separately. We specialise in weekend rentals so rest assured your every need will be catered for.

The main house is available for special occasions on request. It is not suitable for small children given the nature of the decor and because of the 2 ponds and the bridge in the garden.

We are all keen foodies here at Barton Court. Eating is one of the most fundamental pleasures of life, enjoyed by everyone. It is a critical part of hospitality and so is at the heart of the welcome that we extend to our visitors.

Created from an atmospheric Georgian stable where thoroughbreds Tarquin and Rocket used to live – their names are still above the stalls – The Loose Box is at the centre, of the estate.

We serve decent coffee, a proper pot of tea, delicious cakes and a changing selection of light lunches. The accent is on quality and flavour in all things.

On fine days, The Dovecote Lawn and the Terrace allow you to sit outside and take in the inspirational backdrop of the Malvern Hills.
