Ledbury is steeped in history; in 1645 the Royalists fought with Oliver Cromwell’s troops in the main street which the Royalists won. Discover the history, culture, eateries and pristine countryside in relaxing Ledbury.
Ledbury is a Herefordshire market town that lies east of Hereford, and west of the Malvern Hills. The town has a significant number of timber-framed structures along Church Lane and High Street. Church Lane is also a much-photographed cobbled medieval street which leads into the Parish Church. The timber framed Market House was built in 1617 and therefore of great historical interest.
One of the most visited attractions near Ledbury is Eastnor Castle which dates back to Georgian times and is home to many family events throughout the year including Lakefest and if you love poetry join hundreds for the 10-day long Ledbury Poetry Festival.
