The Merton Hotel has an interesting history which is reflected in the rustic charm of our friendly, family run hotel.
We offer a warm welcome with modern facilities to accommodate local customers as well as both commercial and leisure guests.
Situated in heart of the city, we offer the perfect base to explore what Hereford has to offer, with only a 5 minute walk to the town and 7 minute walk to the cathedral.
However, if you would like to explore outside of Hereford, we are only a 2 minute walk to the bus station and a 3 minute walk to Hereford train station. We also offer a perfect location from the hospital.
We offer a well trained chef restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. We serve relaxation in a comfortable lounge for tea and coffee. We are open seven days a week on our bar for perfect socialising.

Pleasantly surprised
Was a bit sceptical having my Daughter book this hotel for us without reading some reviews first, we were expecting the worse. For a one Night stay in the heart of Hereford for £55 it was absolutely fine. Staff upon arrival were friendly, the room at the rear of the property was quiet, clean and warm and I had the best nights sleep in a long time and had a very decent breakfast before we left.
