2 Day Leather Bag Making Course

This course is suitable for beginners but is also a great follow up for students who have already attended one of our shorter courses, who should expect to be able to make a more complex product than complete beginners.

The course will begin with students learning the basic leather skills (or refreshing your memory of them) by firstly making a small card case or coin purse on the first morning. You will learn marking out, choosing appropriate leather, hand saddle stitching and raw edge finishing.

Following this you will choose one bag to make; there are a lot of different styles to choose from. We will have prepared patterns and examples to help you decide. It is also possible to modify the examples to produce a bag which is truly unique. You will then be assisted to produce one unlined leather bag.

• Course runs on both days from 9.30am – 5pm with a break for lunch and tea and cake breaks throughout the day
• A delicious packed lunch from a local tea rooms and tea and coffee included in the price
